PassXYZ與其他密碼管理軟件壹樣，使用其實相當簡單，沒有太多復雜的使用操作。當安裝好PassXYZ後，打開的第壹個頁面是建立壹個用戶名和設置壹個主密碼。這裏需要提醒壹下的是，這個主密碼非常重要，壹旦忘記，就沒人能打開這個數據庫了。

添加什麽東西呢？銀行卡，身份證？拿身份證做個例子吧：點擊加號圖標“+”來 添加身份證，點擊“+”後可以看到“目錄”，“條目”，“便簽”和“從模板中選擇”。沒有身份證選項啊？沒關系，所有列表裏沒有的東西都去模板裏找。模板裏沒有怎麽辦？有三個辦法。第壹，懶人的辦法，所有找不到的都用通用選項“條目”。這個是原來KeePass自帶的。第二，到PassXYZ網站上找找，那兒有很多模板哦。第三，如果都不滿意，妳可以自己在模板中建壹個。當妳開始建模板時，妳已經是PassXYZ達人了。妳可能問，那“便簽”是個什麽東西？“便簽”是妳可以用來記任何東西的東東。這篇文章就是壹個“便簽”，明白了？

話說回來，身份證這項，在自帶模板裏可以找到。在模板裏選擇“身份證”就可以了。接下來就是把相關信息填上並保存的事兒。除了身份證上本身的信息，還可以把身份證的照片或掃描件作為附件加上。這樣下次，當妳遇到房屋中介向妳要身份證復印件時，直接打開PassXYZ用微信分享給他就可以了。
好了，大概就是這樣了，簡單吧？

If you are a KeePass veteran, you may skip this article and read another one called “In-depth understanding of PassXYZ”. Actually, PassXYZ is similar to other password management software and it is quite easy to use.

After the installation, once you launch PassXYZ, the first screen that you can see is to setup a username and password. Please remind here, the password here is the master password of the database. Once you forget it, nobody can access the database again.

After setup the username and password, you will see a list of all your future secrets. Then, where to start? On the top-right hand side of screen, you can see three icons, “Search”, “Add” and “Logout”. You should be able to recognize them from the icons, right?

What should you add now? Bank accounts or ID card? Let’s use your ID card as an example to explain how to add an item. Click on the icon “+” to add any item. Once you clock the icon “+”, you will see a list of choices, “Group”, “Entry”, “Notes” and “Using Template”. There is no choice for “ID card”, what we can do? Since most of choices are listed in the template, let choose “Using Template” now. What if you cannot find the thing that you want in the template either? There are three choices. The first one, it is the laziest way of doing thing. The choice “Entry” in the list is the general one for everything. It is the standard item from KeePass, so you can use it to record all your stuffs. Of course, the data will look unorganized. The second choice is trying to find more templates on PassXYZ website and hopefully you can find the right one to use. The third choice is to create an item in template on your own. If you knew how to do this, you would be the master of PassXYZ. By the way, you may ask, then what is the “Notes” in the list? The “Notes” here is the same as what it means. It is a tool for you to record anything looks like a small article of a paragraph of words, but you don’t want to share with anybody. This article itself is a “Notes”. Understand now?

Let’s come back to the “ID card” to be added. For this one, you shall be able to find in the built-in template. You can choose it from the template and fill in all necessary information. Please do remember to save it after you fill in all information. Other than the information listed in the template for ID card, such as “Name”, “ID Card No.” etc., you can also attach the scanned copy or photo of your ID card as an attachment. In this way, you can just share a copy from PassXYZ using instant messaging tool to your property agent, when he ask it for the transaction next time.
